The cloud is far more than a buzzword, and of course, it doesn’t actually refer to the meteorological phenomenon. But, a lot of people don’t fully grasp the nature of cloud technology, nor the benefits it can offer to the business world.
The cloud serves three basic purposes. First, it offers a scalable, reliable backup system immune to ransomware, equipment failures, and malware. It allows for a decentralized, comprehensive way to back up, share and collaborate with data that would otherwise be impossible.
The benefits of this are manifold, providing security, removing bottlenecks and much more. But, this isn’t all that the cloud can do for you. It also allows for cross-device processes, allowing sessions, open files and running tasks to be started on one device, and resumed on another seamlessly due to the unification of memory images and deserialization of data that this allows.
